PEPPERMINT has been used for thousands of years, probably because of its digestive health properties; making it a good oil for the treatment of indigestion, bad breath, and flatulence. Peppermint is also good for stimulating the mind and improving clarity and alertness. In the home, peppermint oil is used to get rid of mice, mosquitoes or ants.
FRANKINCENSE is a beautiful oil and one of my personal favorites! It helps to slow breathing down and has a calming effect on emotions. It is also one of the most useful oils for respiratory infections, especially when used in aromatherapy massage. Frankincense can also help with wrinkles in the skin when incorporated into skin formulations like lotion.

GERANIUM is an incredibly balancing essential oil, which seems to work wonders on the mind, body and spirit. It is frequently used as an anti-depressant; while its antiseptic and astringent properties make it an excellent oil for skincare products. Geranium has a light floral scent that is uplifting on its own … but when combined with oils like lavender or chamomile, has a sedative effect.
CHAMOMILE is good for the treatment of nervous conditions and insomnia. It is anti-bacterial and antiseptic, but is mostly valued for its anti-inflammatory properties. With its impressive range of functions, tea tree works to remedy coughs and colds; stimulating systemic functions and appropriate discharges; and is used in many preparations to remedy acne and candida.
ORANGE is a calming, yet uplifting oil. Known as a “skin tonic”, this oil stimulates the lymphatic system and aids in eliminating toxins from the congested skin surface. Orange oil aids in maintaining skin elasticity, reduces wrinkles, and helps to improve overall skin health. Traditionally, orange oil has been used to soothe inflammation, fight depression and uplift mood, protect against sepsis, enhance libido, and as a remedy for sexual dysfunction.
